If the meter displays ‘1’, your meter is on STS-1 and needs to be upgraded. If it displays 2, it’s on STS-2, which indicates compliance and needs no upgrading. Step 2: Enter the Tokens The upgrade process requires the entry of three tokens in a specific order. Meter owners and users will be issued with instructions from their prepaid meter service providers on how and when to go about doing this.
